矽格 Group spent NT$2.188 billion to acquire a plant in the Hsinchu Science Park to expand testing capacity for AI and high-performance computing chips. Overall capacity is expected to increase 25%, with 湖口二廠 and 中興三廠 forming a full capacity pipeline.

矽格 (6257-TW), through its subsidiary 矽格聯測, won the bid for the technology plant at No. 1, Innovation 2nd Road, Hsinchu Science Park, for NT$2.188 billion.
The plant put up for sale previously belonged to 建漢科技 (3062-TW), occupies about 7,870 ping of land and has a floor area of about 14,215 ping.
Once the new plant enters mass production, 矽格's overall capacity will increase about 25% compared with its current mass-production facilities.
