With Si declining the nomination, the party branch "wishes him well." Since no primary polling was conducted in the Taoyuan District, there is no mechanism for replacement nominations. Therefore, the party branch currently has no plan to nominate another candidate.蔡忠誠 stated that for the upcoming Taoyuan City Council elections, the KMT has nominated a total of 37 candidates, with an additional two approved nominees. The party remains optimistic about electoral prospects across all districts. Even with one fewer nomination, the goal of securing over 33 seats to achieve a majority remains unaffected.
