Although some claims are factually inaccurate, he has taken responsibility by apologizing and clarifying the facts. However, he expressed regret that the attacks have not ceased. To avoid causing difficulties for fellow party members and leaders, and to prevent negative impacts on the election strategy, he decided to withdraw from the Kuomintang nomination. He pledged to continue grassroots outreach, listen to public opinion, and engage in humble self-reflection and review.蔡忠誠, Chairman of the KMT Taoyuan City Party Branch, told CNA reporters tonight that in the upcoming municipal council elections, the Blue Camp had originally nominated six incumbent candidates plus one newcomer, Si Guangyang, in the Taoyuan District. With Si declining the nomination, the party branch "wishes him well." Since no primary polling was conducted in the Taoyuan District, there is no mechanism for replacement nominations. Therefore, the party branch currently has no plan to nominate another candidate.蔡忠誠 stated that for the upcoming Taoyuan City Council elections, the KMT has nominated a total of 37 candidates, with an additional two approved nominees. The party remains optimistic about electoral prospects across all districts. Even with one fewer nomination, the goal of securing over 33 seats to achieve a majority remains unaffected.
