國研院國震中心 has launched three AI disaster prevention and relief technologies, including the "POSEIDON 1" firefighting water supply dispatch assistant, the "Rapid Building Earthquake Damage Assessment AI Model," and "Safe and Earthquake-Resistant: My AI." They are applied respectively to fire rescue, post-disaster building assessment, and home health checks for the public, in order to improve rescue efficiency and living safety.

The 5th report on damage caused by Reiwa 8 Typhoon No. 30 and the seasonal rain front reports human casualties—2 deaths and 3 injuries—as well as damage to homes and the Fire and Disaster Management Agency’s response structure.
Report No. 6 on damage in Akita Prefecture from heavy rain since Oct. 21, Reiwa 8, and the response of the Fire and Disaster Management Agency. 1 death was confirmed in Yurihonjo City, and the evacuation order was lifted.
消防庁災害対策本部 issued Report No. 25 on damage from Typhoons No. 25 and No. 26 and fronts in Reiwa 8, and the response of fire-fighting agencies and others. Human casualties and housing damage occurred in Chiba, Kanagawa, Tokyo and other prefectures, with a total of 17 deaths and housing damage of 414 completely destroyed, 1,259 half-destroyed and 2,412 flooded below floor level.

Human casualties were 38 deaths and 376 injured; housing damage was 2,408 completely destroyed, 7,802 half-destroyed and 59,394 partially damaged, for a total of 69,604 buildings. All 11 fires and 64 rescue cases have been dealt with, all evacuation orders have been lifted, and 緊急消防援助隊 have been withdrawn in stages.
