Shen began by stating his Taiwanese was 'not fluent,' and although he continued speaking in Mandarin, he twice mistakenly referred to 'Committee Member Jui-long' as 'Committee Member Jui-hsiung.' When asked if his Taiwanese had improved during this southern trip to Kaohsiung, Chiang revealed that his Taiwanese was entirely taught by his wife.
