Story Text
The Han Kuang 42 live-fire exercise has entered the phase of deep defense and protracted warfare. After completing multiple waves of coastal strike and near-shore defense missions, the Navy Marine Corps' Amphibious Reconnaissance Company carried out stay-behind operations as ordered, relocating to battlefield safe houses for resupply and concealment. Utilizing the Team Awareness Kit (TAK) and drones for intelligence gathering, the unit operated in small teams to support regional defensive forces through harassment, ambushes, disruption, and sabotage, effectively weakening enemy combat strength. The Ministry of National Defense stated that upon receiving orders, the Amphibious Reconnaissance Company immediately moved to a pre-designated port to卸载 all weapons and equipment from their speedboats. The boats were then camouflaged with tarps to prevent enemy reconnaissance. Personnel underwent de-identification procedures, dispersing around the port area and using civilian vehicles to transport supplies to safe houses. There, they met with advance teams, transferred stored supplies and equipment, and completed preparations for covert operations and combat readiness.During the concealment period at safe houses, officers received mission orders via the Team Awareness Kit (TAK), then dispatched personnel to designated locations. Using maps, binoculars, and surveillance drones, they conducted on-site reconnaissance of target zones and transmitted real-time intelligence back to command. Based on both map analysis and field observations, officers conducted mission briefings and war-gaming exercises to finalize team compositions and task assignments. Teams quickly geared up and, under cover of darkness, stealthily maneuvered into target areas to launch突击 operations.Upon arrival, troops infiltrated from multiple points around the perimeter, using mutual cover and proactive engagement to harass enemy forces. They entered enemy facilities to conduct searches and destruction missions, effectively degrading enemy combat capabilities. These stay-behind operations successfully achieved their objective of delaying enemy advances. The accompanying image, provided by the Ministry of National Defense, shows a team withdrawing under mutual cover after completing a突击 mission.
