The Maison unveils its high jewelry collections twice a year, in January and July, each under a different concept. The "Carte Blanche" collection, presented in July, literally means "blank check" in French, allowing Creative Director Claire Choisne to choose her theme with complete freedom and to use her creativity and innovation to embody the inspirations and dreams that fuel her work. This innovative collection inherits and embodies the Maison's spirit of pushing the boundaries of traditional high jewelry conventions and definitions, forging new paths.Exploring the connections between people, and delving deeper to discover their differences. Through this year's "Carte Blanche," BOUCHERON depicts its reverence for "human beings," the most precious of all existences. Claire Choisne and the creative studio highlight the commonalities that bind people together and the individuality and differences that make each person unique, through five sets of jewelry comprising necklaces and rings. While all pieces share a fundamental, common form, each is crafted using different materials and artisanal techniques. The subtle variations found in each piece, such as the harmony of volume, gemstones, and light, breathe with nuances that express the countless facets of human individuality. The more closely one examines each piece, the more new discoveries will be made. These discoveries resonate with the various elements within each of us that shape our existence as human beings. This "HUMAN BEING" collection celebrates not the "appearance" of humans, but "humanity itself."The "Carte Blanche" collection also serves as an opportunity for Claire Choisne to redefine what she considers precious. In 2024's "OR BLEU," she sounded an alarm about the crisis of dwindling water resources, and in 2025's "IMPERMANENCE," she conveyed a societal message about the protection of endangered nature. With this year's "HUMAN BEING," Claire emphasizes that in today's world, overflowing with artificiality, true preciousness lies in "humanity." Claire, having received technical training to become a jeweler herself, deeply understands the techniques that can only be achieved by human hands. " To express her answer, Claire first focused on a representative form in high jewelry necklaces. The result was the traditional cluster necklace, characterized by a unified design with a continuous arrangement of gemstones. The five signature BOUCHERON jewelry sets, composed of necklaces and rings, were created based on this cluster necklace design.As an answer to the contrasting question, "What is the uniqueness of each of us?
" she infused each piece with individuality that appeals to the emotions of high jewelry, while expressing their inherent charm through the use of various materials, colors, and techniques. Artisans from diverse fields have pooled their expertise, unique skills, and artistic sensibilities to express humanity in high jewelry.
