NTT West Corporation (Headquarters: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, President: Ryota Kitamura, hereinafter referred to as NTT West) and Tansoman GX Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Junji Fukumoto, hereinafter referred to as Tansoman GX) have entered into a business partnership agreement to launch an initiative supporting the decarbonization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that support local communities, in collaboration with municipalities.This initiative will utilize Tansoman GX's AI energy-saving diagnostic service "Denki Check*" to support SMEs in reducing CO2 emissions and energy costs. Background and ObjectivesIn pursuit of the government's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, municipalities nationwide are required to reduce CO2 emissions across their regions and promote decarbonization initiatives.In particular, for SMEs that form the backbone of regional economies, there are cases where sufficient efforts are not being made due to a lack of know-how and resources for calculating emissions and reporting.Furthermore, municipalities face challenges in creating effective support systems for SME decarbonization and implementing concrete measures.Against this backdrop, NTT West and Tansoman GX will leverage their respective expertise and services to promote decarbonization support for SMEs in collaboration with municipalities.By utilizing the AI energy-saving diagnostic service "Denki Check," SMEs can identify areas for improvement in energy saving and their potential for CO2 emission reduction based on their own electricity usage. They can also achieve decarbonized management through the introduction of optimal energy-saving products and renewable energy.Through the collaboration between NTT West, which has extensive consulting experience with numerous municipalities in the GX domain and also supports local businesses, and Tansoman GX, which offers the AI energy-saving diagnostic service "Denki Check" and possesses expertise in GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emission reduction, we will further accelerate regional decarbonization efforts.2.
