Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. will begin accepting entries for the "25th Kirakira Art Contest," a painting competition for children with disabilities, on July 10 (Fri).The "Kirakira Art Contest" started in 2002 with the desire to support the potential of children with disabilities, in cooperation with the Tokyo Colony Social Welfare Corporation, which operates "Artability*," Japan's first art library for people with disabilities. This year marks the 25th event. Children who have participated in this contest have gone on to contribute to society, and currently, 29 registered artists are active at Artability, demonstrating our support for the talents of these children.*Artability: An art library for people with disabilities established in 1986 by the Tokyo Colony Social Welfare Corporation, aiming to provide income support and social participation. It currently stocks over 6,600 works by approximately 200 artists, which are loaned out for use in various media such as printed materials.We receive applications from individuals and organizations across Japan every year. Last year, we received 874 entries (from 40 prefectures).For this 25th contest, 50 outstanding works will be selected from entries submitted between July 10 (Fri) and September 15 (Tue) after a judging process. An awards ceremony will be held online on December 2 (Wed), where certificates and commemorative gifts will be presented. Following this, exhibitions of the award-winning works will be held sequentially across the country. All submitted works will be published on our website. Minimum size approximately A4. Centered around the Daimaru-Yurakucho area, companies are taking the lead to verify the synergistic effects of SDGs activities through inter-company collaboration, aiming to build a sustainable model city for SDGs.
