Apa Group (Headquarters: 3-2-3 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hitoshi Motoya), a comprehensive urban developer, held a groundbreaking ceremony on July 3 (Fri.) at the planned site (2-1602 Kanayama, Naka-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture (lot number)) for Apa Hotel <Nagoya Kanayama Station Front> (231 rooms in total).Press ConferenceShinto RitualAt a press conference held prior to the groundbreaking ceremony, Apa Group President and CEO Hitoshi Motoya stated, "This is our first store in the Kanayama area, following the Nagoya Station, Sakae, and Fushimi areas, and it will be the 10th Apa Hotel brand property in Nagoya City. Completion is scheduled for January 2028, in time for the opening of the Chuo Shinkansen. We believe the location is ideal for meeting the diverse needs of our customers, with direct access to Chubu Centrair International Airport and Nagoya Station without transfers. We recently announced our new mid-term 5-year plan, AIM5-II, which aims for 100,000 rooms under our own domestic brands by the end of March 2031. Including this hotel, we will have 2,771 rooms in Nagoya City, with a target of 3,000 rooms in the Nagoya area. We intend to achieve further growth in the Nagoya region through various methods, such as opening new stores and acquiring adjacent land to existing hotels to increase room capacity."The hotel is located in front of Kanayama Station (2-5 minutes on foot from Exit 1 of Kanayama Station and the North Exit of Kanayama Station), a prime area representing Nagoya City. Kanayama Station is one of the largest terminal stations in the Chubu region, served by a total of 5 JR, Meitetsu, and subway lines, and it takes approximately 5 minutes to reach Nagoya Station and the Sakae area. It is just one subway stop (approx. 2 minutes) from the "Nagoya Congress Center," which will reopen after renovation in spring 2027, making it a hub for domestic and international business travelers attending international conferences, academic conferences, and exhibitions (MICE).
