Kadoma City, Osaka Prefecture (hereinafter, Kadoma City) and Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, Panasonic EW) signed the "Business Collaboration Agreement for Promoting Lifelong Learning (Citizen Learning) at Kadoma City Cultural Creation Library KADOMADO" on July 3, 2026.This agreement aims to establish a new public-private co-creation model that utilizes the Kadoma City Cultural Creation Library KADOMADO (hereinafter, KADOMADO), which opened in May 2026, as a venue to create learning opportunities for citizens and verify the social implementation of cutting-edge technologies.In recent years, public facilities are increasingly expected to serve not only as service providers but also as spaces where citizens can experience new technologies and values and engage with the society of the future. KADOMADO opened as a new community hub themed around "learning," "exchange," and "creation," bringing together diverse generations.Panasonic EW, as a company based in Kadoma City, is engaged in the research, development, and sales of lighting and electrical equipment, as well as various co-creation activities that contribute to solving social issues. This initiative was sparked when Kadoma City visited SHIOMER (Shiomer, Minato-ku, Tokyo), the co-creation hub of Panasonic EW's R&D division.Through this agreement, KADOMADO will be utilized as a demonstration field for conducting pilot tests of technologies and services developed by Panasonic EW. The effectiveness of these technologies will be verified using feedback and usage data from facility users, while also creating opportunities for citizens to experience and learn about cutting-edge technologies.Furthermore, beyond just pilot experiments, the initiative will also focus on promoting lifelong learning for citizens and nurturing next-generation talent through the organization of lectures and workshops. It will also promote the attractiveness of Kadoma City as a manufacturing and development base, fostering local attachment and understanding.As the first initiative under this agreement, demonstration experiments for "Cool Share Spots" and "Contactless Charging" are planned to be conducted at KADOMADO.Through this agreement, Kadoma City and Panasonic EW will challenge themselves to create new value by connecting citizen learning with corporate technological development, and co-create the future of public facilities together with the community.<Main Collaboration Items Based on the Agreement>1.
