Sunshine Aquarium (Ikebukuro, Tokyo) will host the "Sunshine Aquarium Refreshing Summer Festival 2026," a special summer event packed with refreshing fun to blow away the intense heat expected this summer, from Friday, July 17 to Sunday, August 30.During the event, the regular sea lion performance time will be transformed into the summer-only version, "Sea Lion's Super Soaking Operation!

" Special effects using a large amount of water will be performed not only on stage but also around the stage area, including the audience seats.This year, the number of performances per day has been increased from one last year to two. The event content has also been powered up with the introduction of a new water cannon, improved to fire water at shorter intervals.Furthermore, the amount of water and the special effects will be upgraded on "scorching hot days" of 35°C or higher, and even further on "extreme heat days" of 40°C or higher.This year, we will also offer a variety of events that can be enjoyed only during the "early morning hours."Right after opening, you can experience coolness from the morning with the "Morning Water Sprinkling Operation!
