FLEXFORM, Italy's leading luxury furniture brand, is pleased to announce its new 2026 collection of furniture. The new concept "The Private Lives of Objects," unveiled at Milan Design Week 2026, expresses FLEXFORM's philosophy of viewing furniture not merely as possessions, but as entities that grow with people over time, fostering memories and affection. In our daily lives, we casually touch, use, and spend time with our furniture. While witnessing family gatherings, conversations with friends, and life's milestone moments, furniture gradually accumulates the unique stories and memories of that home. Over time, furniture transcends being just an object and becomes an irreplaceable presence that accompanies our lives. "The Private Lives of Objects" embodies this perspective on the rich relationship between people and furniture. This collection features internationally acclaimed designers such as Antonio Citterio, who has supported the brand for over 50 years, along with Monica Armani, Fumie Shibata, Patrick Norguet, and Sebastian Herkner. Each designer has resonated with this philosophy, expressing new relationships between people and furniture through their unique sensibilities.Through a diverse range of new pieces including the sofa "QUINCY," the accessory collection "SORETO," the storage collection "LOUISE," the table "TARA," and the outdoor collections "MARGHERÌ" and "BOUTÉ," FLEXFORM will showcase its pursuit of timeless elegance and exceptional craftsmanship. These new pieces can be viewed at "FLEXFORM TOKYO," which will grand open on July 3, 2026 (*). (*) The outdoor collection is scheduled to be exhibited at a later date.INDOOR COLLECTIONObjects gain depth within the home. Here, design becomes the rhythm of daily life, and furniture grows in presence as it ages with us.The 2026 indoor collection was born to accompany the flow of time in your home. With its relaxed seating, refined proportions, and carefully considered depth for true comfort, it is underpinned by the craftsmanship that polishes every detail. The warmth of wood, the tactile feel of materials, and sophisticated upholstery. Sofas become places of relaxation, tables comfortably connect people, and chairs and cabinets bring quiet dignity to life.Crafted with meticulous artistry, these pieces accompany our lives with elegance and understated grace.QUINCY | Antonio CitterioConceived to be the centerpiece of a space, QUINCY moves away from linear compositions, bringing new personality to the living room with its organic form. The interplay of supple curves and gentle straight lines, along with rounded corners, creates an embracing silhouette, resulting in a sculptural yet comfortable presence. Its signature feature is the seamless shell, created through a single molding process. This shell, outlining the sofa's structure, gently cradles seat cushions generously filled with goose down, providing unexpected comfort and soft embrace. It offers new value to the contemporary living room as a space where people naturally gather and foster moments of relaxation and conversation. With a rich modular configuration, including soft chaise longues, it allows for highly flexible layouts. It harmoniously blends with more formal interiors while adapting to diverse living spaces. Furthermore, combinations with FLEXFORM's exclusive fabric and leather collections enable personalization to suit individual lifestyles.QUINCY is a flagship model of the 2026 collection, inheriting the aesthetics and functionality cultivated by FLEXFORM over many years, while proposing a new way of living suitable for contemporary life.Antonio Citterio on "The Private Lives of Objects""Objects truly become 'private' when they remain with us.They accompany us through different homes, accumulating memories and patina as they are used. I find the idea of furniture becoming an object of affection very appealing. A sofa that can be used for a long time, perhaps with its upholstery changed. The expression of leather that conforms to the user's shape. At FLEXFORM, we design furniture that is serene and timeless. It is something to live with, to age with, and to pass on to the future."Antonio CitterioA leading Italian architect and designer. He has collaborated with FLEXFORM for over 50 years, creating numerous iconic products for the brand. He has received many awards, including the ADI Compasso d'Oro, and continues to be active internationally.SORETO | Fumie ShibataAn accessory collection inspired by the Japanese word "soreto" (And also...). The sensibility of the word, suggesting adding new elements to a space and leading to harmony, is embodied in the design. The collection consists of a mirror and a valet stand, characterized by a design where supple curved metal sheets are wrapped in high-quality leather. Without being tied to a specific style, it naturally blends into various spaces and quietly accompanies daily life. The mirror not only reflects the space but also enriches its depth, while the valet stand provides a place to gently hold clothes and accessories. From the entrance to the bedroom, it quietly resonates with the interior furnishings, elegantly supporting the casual actions of daily life.Fumie Shibata on "The Private Lives of Objects""I believe that design is closest to completion when it quietly blends into a space and naturally connects people with their surroundings. At FLEXFORM, my aim has been to create a harmonious relationship between people, objects, and the spaces they inhabit. Furniture with understated elegance gradually receives people's stories and memories. Over time, it becomes an irreplaceable part of the landscape of our lives. That is my wish."Fumie ShibataA leading Japanese product designer. She is active in a wide range of fields, from furniture to daily goods and healthcare equipment, and has received international accolades such as the iF Design Award Gold Prize and the Red Dot Design Award.LOUISE | Patrick NorguetAt the core of the LOUISE collection is "dialogue." Two materials, while possessing distinct personalities, create harmony.Luxurious leather that envelops, and glass that reflects light with a lustrous sheen. Each material enhances the other, creating a sophisticated presence.Curved leather supports a glass top with a back-painted finish, giving the impression of floating in space. The combination of hardness and flowing elegance creates a pleasant tension.Composed of bedside tables, storage units, and low tables, the collection naturally blends into various spaces within the home, bringing a sense of lightness and the feeling of floating.Patrick Norguet on "The Private Lives of Objects""Guy Debord's words, 'In a society where the conditions of production are dominant, the whole of life presents itself as an immense accumulation of spectacles,' deeply resonate with my approach to design. It is about creating things that endure beyond time, distancing themselves from spectacle and immediate effect.Something that contains culture, emotion, and meaning, quietly connecting people, places, and daily life. I believe in design that accompanies life, rather than orchestrating it. Elegance born from restraint, and value that emerges over time. I see this vision within FLEXFORM. I believe furniture is something to live with, before it is merely looked at."Patrick NorguetOne of France's leading designers. He works across a wide range of fields, from furniture to spatial design, and has gained international recognition for his designs that combine functionality and elegance.TARA | Sebastian HerknerTARA is a collection of tables and coffee tables with a commanding presence and rich volume. Its name is derived from the "Hill of Tara," a sacred site for ancient Irish dynasties. The concrete base, while possessing a monolithic weightiness, is reinterpreted with a lightness through contemporary sensibility and rich texture. Two symmetrically arranged components create high stability while depicting an elegant form. The delicate shadows of the concrete, the graceful concave curves etched into the base, and the lightness of the back-painted glass harmonize beautifully. The design, where mineral density and light-filled transparency coexist, exudes a sculptural presence that brings order and harmony to the space.Sebastian Herkner on "The Private Lives of Objects""As a designer, my goal is to create 'companions' that accompany life. We can be captivated at first sight, or we can gradually deepen our affection through touching, using, and accumulating experiences. Something that makes us want to cherish it. Something that quietly converses with the home and reflects the user's personality. Objects encountered during travels or inherited from family members hold memories and small moments, giving deep value to our existence. I myself live with a candy bowl inherited from my grandmother and a vintage chair I found in Jaipur, India, placed next to furniture I designed. As the world becomes increasingly digital, homogeneous, and transparent, I want to protect craft, tradition, tactility, and the richness that can be perceived with the senses."Sebastian HerknerA product designer from Germany. He has received numerous awards, including Maison&Objet "Designer of the Year" and EDIDA, and is active worldwide in the fields of furniture, lighting, and accessories.OUTDOOR COLLECTIONObjects live not only indoors but also outdoors.Outdoor spaces are realms located at the threshold between architecture and landscape. They are places to be protected yet open, and to resonate with nature. The 2026 outdoor collection features furniture that combines craftsmanship and technology, offering lightness, elegance, and high durability. It fosters spaces for conversation with nature and elevates the outdoor space itself into a rich experience.Created through sophisticated proportions and a deep exploration of materials, the furniture gently connects architecture and nature, people and scenery, proposing new possibilities for outdoor living.MARGHERÌ | Monica Armani Sofa + Dining ChairAn outdoor collection inspired by the glamorous "Belle Époque" era of the late 19th century in Europe. It reflects the aesthetic sensibilities of a time when gardens were stages for elegant living, and time flowed leisurely between light and shadow.Clear lines stripped of excess, generous volumes that gently embrace the body, and meticulously calculated proportions. It quietly tells us that true sophistication is born from the aesthetics of subtraction. The collection consists of a straight sofa, modular sofas, a daybed, and dining armchairs. With abundant modules, it accommodates diverse outdoor scenes, from private layouts to open spaces. The arms and backrests feature elegant, petal-like forms wrapped in rope. The delicate colors of the frame with epoxy powder coating and the polypropylene rope harmonize beautifully, giving the collection a light expression. The comfort created by the relaxed proportions and soft cushions invites "dolce far niente" (the sweetness of doing nothing), symbolizing the Belle Époque.BOUTÉ | Monica ArmaniThe BOUTÉ side table collection is inspired by "bouton" (button) in haute couture, which determines the completeness of an outfit. It represents an iconic detail that, despite its small size, defines the impression of the entire space. The rope-covered base possesses a rich texture unique to handwork, creating a beautiful contrast with the condensed luster of the ceramic top. The exquisite balance woven by different materials simultaneously creates stability and lightness.Whether used individually or in combination, they bring a pleasant rhythm and space to the room, exuding a subtle yet definite presence.Monica Armani on "The Private Lives of Objects""When approaching a new project, the first thing I consider is the language of design that connects my style with the maison's identity. FLEXFORM is a true style icon for me, a brand that has created furniture that accompanies life and is loved beyond time. The philosophy behind the creation of MARGHERÌ and BOUTÉ was a deep resonance with that idea.I believe this collection will be deeply etched in people's memories with its harmony and unique personality."Monica ArmaniAn architect and designer from Trento, Italy. She is known for her unique method "Design in Molecules," which fuses rationality and intuition, experimentation and rigor, and has earned her the trust of many world-renowned design brands.■ FLEXFORM TOKYO Store OverviewLocationBlue Sank Point B Bldg., 5-3-20 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo 107-0062Opening DateJuly 3, 2026 (Fri)Business Hours11:00 - 19:00ClosedWednesdays (except national holidays)AccessApprox. 4-minute walk from Exit A5 of Tokyo Metro "Omotesando Station"TEL03-6418-5590URLhttps://www.flexform.jp/Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/ffj_tokyo■About FLEXFORMFounded in 1959, FLEXFORM is a luxury furniture brand born against the backdrop of Italy's rich artisan culture.
