Sustech Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representatives: Yusuke Tanno, Yuichiro Iida; hereinafter "the Company") has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Taipei Port Container Terminal Corporation (hereinafter "TPCT"), a company jointly owned by world-leading port logistics operators Evergreen Marine Corporation (Taiwan) Ltd., Wan Hai Lines Ltd., and YangMing Marine Transport Corporation. This agreement marks the commencement of our rooftop solar power generation project (hereinafter "this Project").From left: TPCT Chairman Huang Wen-Yao, Sustech CEO Yusuke TannoThis Project involves the installation of approximately 3.7MW of solar power generation capacity, utilizing the rooftops of TPCT's port logistics facilities located in Bali District, New Taipei City, Taiwan. The Company will develop, own, and optimally operate the solar power generation facilities using the AI solution system "ELIC," and will supply the generated renewable energy to TPCT on a long-term basis. This Project is the Company's first overseas project utilizing project finance and represents a significant milestone in promoting the development, financing, and operation of renewable energy projects overseas in an integrated manner. Furthermore, regarding power offtake, we have structured an optimal framework utilizing FIT (Feed-in Tariff) and CPPA (Corporate Power Purchase Agreement) to maximize revenue in addition to decarbonization.TPCT Port Logistics Facility at Taipei Port (Provided by TPCT)Through this Project, the Company will contribute to the expansion of renewable energy adoption and the decarbonization of port logistics facilities in Taiwan. Based on the knowledge gained from this Project, we will accelerate power supply in ports both domestically and internationally by deploying renewable energy supply models that utilize rooftops of port facilities.
