Meitetsu Corporation (Head Office: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President: Hiroki Takasaki, hereinafter Meitetsu) has produced a "Traffic Safety Book" in cooperation with "Aichi Toyota," a Toyota dealership operated by AT Group Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President: Masashi Yamaguchi), to promote traffic safety awareness among local children. This booklet features original designs with "Grampus-kun" and "Doala," the official mascots of local sports teams "Nagoya Grampus" and "Chunichi Dragons," allowing children to learn about traffic safety in a fun way. The booklet is scheduled to be distributed to first-graders at public elementary schools and special needs schools in Nagoya City during July. Details are as follows. 1. Background of the Initiative As companies involved in transportation rooted in the community, Meitetsu and Aichi Toyota wanted to create an opportunity for children to learn about preventing traffic accidents and the safe use of public transportation. In collaboration with "Nagoya Grampus" and "Chunichi Dragons," whom both companies support, this project was launched. 2. Overview of the "Traffic Safety Book" (1) Title "Let's Learn Traffic Safety with Grampus-kun and Doala" (2) Content The content allows first-graders, "Tetsuo-san" and "Mei-san," to learn traffic safety rules and precautions on their way from home to watch a soccer or baseball game.
