Two officers from the Kaohsiung Metro Police squad allegedly had an altercation due to ongoing friction. Yesterday, after finishing their patrol duties and returning to their station in the Zuoying District, they got into a verbal dispute in an elevator, which escalated, resulting in both officers sustaining facial abrasions. Neither party has pressed charges, and the police department is currently considering how to proceed with the matter. The Kaohsiung City Police Department's Metro Police Team stated today that the two officers had existing friction due to incompatible personalities. Yesterday at approximately 12:42 PM, after returning to their station post-patrol, they had a verbal dispute in an elevator at the Zuoying District station office. The police stated that the conflict resulted in facial abrasions for both officers, who have mutually agreed not to press charges. The subsequent handling of the matter is still under consideration. Additionally, a counseling and support mechanism has been activated, and there will be increased emphasis on promoting rational communication and avoiding emotional conflicts to maintain team discipline and the agency's image.
