Adjust, a leading mobile app measurement and analytics tool, has released its "Game App Insights Report 2026." The report reveals that global game app sessions in 2025 increased by 1% year-over-year, while the ratio of paid to organic installs grew by 61% globally. Notably, the Japanese market recorded a 25% retention rate on the first day after installation, the highest among APAC countries. Furthermore, Japan's sessions per user on the installation day increased by 3% to 1.81, surpassing the APAC average. Marketing Director Tiahn Wetzler emphasized that as the market matures, game companies are shifting focus from scale to precision, prioritizing retention and LTV over short-term play.
