(CNA reporter Zhao Jingyu, Taipei 28th) The Paper Windmill Pingtung Troupe's new version of 'Ahou Luodisao 2: Good News for You' premiered this afternoon at the Pingtung Art Museum Plaza. The Pingtung county bird, the brown shrike, also appeared as a large stage character, attracting over a thousand children and adults to watch and laugh together.

According to news materials released by Paper Windmill today, 'Paper Windmill Ahou Luodisao 2' enhances the entertainment feel of a cabaret show, presenting Pingtung's agricultural specialties and the three treasures of Donggang (seafood and mountain delicacies) in giant form. The performance also transforms stories about investment scams, romance scams, dementia, and elderly care into light and fun theatrical situations. The Pingtung county bird, the 'brown shrike,' with a wingspan of nearly 4 meters and a body length of nearly 3 meters, flew into the audience for close interaction.

For this 'Paper Windmill Ahou Luodisao 2,' the second-phase troupe members collaborated for the first time. Besides spending time building默契 (chemistry), members also faced many new challenges. Member Huang Shuhan practiced balancing on a unicycle and played guitar, presenting his own original songs. Huang Yici challenged herself by writing lyrics and singing rap in the scam story, moving from acting to content creation, integrating different performance forms into the narrative.

Pingtung County Magistrate Chou Chun-mi stated that since 2022, the Pingtung County Government and Paper Windmill have jointly promoted drama talent training. Participants use time outside work and family to learn acting and to tell Pingtung people's stories to everyone. 'This is exactly the rooted Pingtung art we most want to see,' she said.

Paper Windmill Theater Troupe Director Ren Jiancheng said that the Pingtung members have evolved from simply 'people coming to learn drama' into a true Pingtung performance team. 'We are not training everyone to become identical actors; we are giving each person's uniqueness and brilliance a chance to become part of the stage,' he said.

'Paper Windmill Ahou Luodisao 2: Good News for You' will perform on October 4th at 2:30 PM at the Xintantou Xuantian Shangdi Temple in Changzhi Township, and at 7:30 PM the same evening at the Changrong Cixuan Temple in Jiuru Township, bringing the troupe's 'good news' to the乡亲 (local residents).
